EMS Week 2026
Did you know that each year, we set aside an entire week to honor the work of the people and organizations that provide emergency medical services (EMS) to communities across the U.S.? It's a time for the public to more deeply understand the magnitude of how much our Paramedics and EMTs (Clinicians) do and an opportunity to support our life saving mission. This year's theme is Improving Outcomes, Together. Narberth Ambulance's collaborative and comprehensive approach to the specific needs of our various communities has helped us improve outcomes for over 80 years.
We responded to 20,000 calls for help last year. Our EMTs and Paramedics provide care for a wide variety of medical emergencies. It is crucial they have the right equipment to support the best patient outcomes possible.
We aim to raise $1000 to purchase 4 Reeves Flexible Stretchers. Flexible stretchers are used to move patients in narrow stairwells, when elevators are not large enough for a rolling stretcher, the absence of an elevator, when the patient can not be safely moved in a seated position as well as many other situations when our Clinicians must navigate confined spaces or difficult terrain.
As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we are asking our community to help fund our campaign. Our next call can be your coworker, your neighbor or your loved one. Help us improve outcomes, together.
